To be the Wedding Planner for Suzy and charles has been a pleasure from day one of introduction right through until the actual glorious wedding day.
Suzy and Charles arrived with their entourage of friends and family the night before the big day and made the most of the delights of Brympton House by settling their guests into the many guest rooms within the exquiste historical house itself and the adjoining Home farm which house The D'evercy Tower rooms beautifully decorated with Toile de Jouy fabrics and matching wallpapers. selected by yours truly.
After a rehearsal with the groom, best man, master of ceremonies (a close friend of Charles who was nothing short of a star on the day!) we let the lads escape for a planned pub last night of freedom and a pamper session for the bride-to-be and her bridesmaids.
The morning arrived quick enough and I found Cornelius the hair and make-up specialist from London applying his magic to Suzy (not that she needed much help!) in the bridal suite.
My helper for the day, Melanie the art student, had her skills called upon as Suzy needed a last minute wedding table plan produced, Mel went into the creative zone and turned around a fantastic last minute masterpiece admired by all.
The day flowed like a dream with a romantic civil ceremony in The Medieval Dower House with flowers by the Brympyon in-house florist to die for and a string quartet from Bath.
The sun shone mercilessly and luckily for the guests deck chairs had thoughtfully been set out in the shade of a giant tree, and with croquet set up on the lawn and a quintessential English lazy summer afternoon wedding drinks reception was enjoyed by one and all.
The photographer Ed was amazing and the perfect gentleman throughout the process of capturing the perfect picture unfolding infront of us.
The Wedding Breakfast was my chance to grab a rest and hand over the wedding party to the in-house chef Jane Parker and her fabulous team, they all make serving 100 guests simultaneously look so easy!
Night fell and my final hand over to the Brympton Evening team, Johnathan and Anita who served the evening guests and oversaw the local Morris dancers performing before the commencement of the evening live band.
I made my way home leaving a beautiful sunset over Brympton that lasted until I reached
Stonehenge.
What a fantastic wedding to have been a small part of, Renaissance Grace wish Suzy and Charles all the very best for the Future.
